CITY MANAGER – MADISON, FLORIDA

The City of Madison, Florida, is seeking a full time City Manager.  The City is a council-manager form of government, has a population of just over 3,000, an annual budget of approximately $11 million dollars, and 60 full-time employees.   The City operates a police department, a fire department, a street department, a parks and cemetery department, a community development department, and a warehouse department.  The City also operates, as enterprise funds, a water department, a wastewater department, a natural gas department, and a sanitation department.  Additional information about the City of Madison is available at the City’s website, www.cityofmadisonfl.com.

The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in communication, community relations, administrative leadership, personnel management, municipal accounting, financial management, budget preparation, economic development, and strategic planning.  A degree in public administration, business, or related field, and/or a minimum of five (5) years of public administration experience is desirable.  Individuals with strong private sector experience are encouraged to apply.

Salary and benefit range is $75,000.00 – $140,000.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
