NOTICE OF SPECIAL JOINT MEETING OF
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MADISON COUNTY, FLORIDA
AND THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MADISON, FLORIDA
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners (the “County Commission”) of Madison County, Florida (the “County”) and the City Commission (the “City Commission”) of the City of Madison, Florida (the “City”) will hold a special joint public meeting, to which all persons are invited to attend, as follows:
Date and Time: May 3, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.
Place: The Board of County Commissioners Meeting Room, Room No. 107.
Madison County Courthouse Annex 229 S.W. Pinckney Street
Madison, Florida 32340
Purpose: The meeting will concern the old Madison County Sanitary Landfill Site (the “Site”) located at 2060 Rocky Ford Road in Madison County, Florida and the remediation of the environmental contamination thereon. The County Commission and the City Commission will each discuss and possibly act upon: (1) A proposed ADMINISTRATIVE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT AND ORDER ON CONSENT FOR REMEDIAL DESIGN (and associated STATEMENT OF WORK) between the City, County, ITT, LLC (“ITT”) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency concerning the Site, and (2) A proposed agreement between the City, County and ITT continuing the existing agreement to fund the environmental remediation at the Site.
Copies of the above proposed documents may be obtained in the office of the Clerk of the Court in the Madison County Courthouse or the office of the City Clerk in City Hall. All interested parties may appear at the above meeting and be heard with respect to the above matters. The proposed documents may be modified at the above meeting.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by either Board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
